A Dark Room Story Walkthrough:
-You'll start with a fire and the ability to gather wood
-Soon you can upgrade to a cart to gather wood faster
-The ability to build will be available
-As you play, you'll notice more and more items being unlocked
-The more you embark (explore), the more items that will become available. Bringing back a new type of item (such as iron) will unlock new things
A Dark Room Story Walkthrough cont:
-Eventually, you will explore all of the lands. Once you do this, go visit the "W" on the map.
-Returning to camp after visiting the "W" will unlock the ability to work on and upgrade a ship
-Once the ship is upgraded enough, you can choose to lift off and work toward the end of the game
A Dark Room Guide:
-Stroke fire to save the game. Screen will dim slightly when fire needs to be stroked
-Get wood as often as possible
-Upgrade to a cart as soon as possible
-You can only upgrade the cart once. To gather wood faster, you have to increase your population by building huts
A Dark Room Guide:
-Max out huts to get more gatherers. These gatherers allow you to get more wood and various other supplies
-Max out traps to get more supplies
A Dark Room Enemies List:
There are many enemies in the world of A Dark Room.
-Smaller enemies that do little damage with low hp
-Larger enemies (beasts in trees "T") that do 8 damage per hit and attack quickly
-Soldiers that do 12 damage per hit
-Snipers do 35 DAMAGE per hit...PER HIT! They attack very slow so it is very possible to kill them before they shoot you once.
Make sure to bola them if you have low health or not many weapons.
We would advise you to carry a spear, iron sword, steel sword, and katana before venturing out too far
A Dark Room Enemies List cont:
-Towns have multiple enemies which usually have a mini-boss at the end. These bosses generally just have some more hp and do a little more damage, though nothing that you won't be able to handle
A Dark Room Thieves Guide:
-Eventually, you will have thieves in your village stealing supplies. This will be shown in the "supplies" section. You can't do anything about them until your town naturally catches them. Once they are caught, you can choose what to do with them. If you kill him, you will get your supplies back. If you let him go, you will receive a new perk: Stealthy (better avoid conflict in the wild)
A Dark Room Embark Guide:
-Get a compass to venture out
-You MUST return to the camp (marked "A") alive. This means not running out of food, water, or health. Getting back will save all your items that you picked up along the way.
-The @ on the map when traveling shows where you are.
-Make a rucksack and other carry upgrades from the workshop to increase your carry space
-Make a waterskin and other water upgrades from the workshop to increase your water. Each point of water lets you move one space
-Make armor from the workshop to increase your hp
-You can take multiple weapons into combat. For example, you can take the spear, iron sword, steel sword, katana, grenade, rifle, and carbine all at the same time. Just take one of each item in order to use them.
-Rifles and carbines require ammunition to use during combat.
-You can use bolas to stun enemies during combat
-Try to heal fully before completing combat with an enemy. This way you'll have more starting health in the next fight
A Dark Room Embark Guide cont:
-Take cured meat for food (this will heal you during fights)
-When you first get into a fight, start tapping the "punch" button as soon as it's available. Make sure to watch your health and heal yourself when you are low
-If you want to venture longer, loot the cured meats after each fight
-Take torches to do more things in the wild such as going into caves
-If you go into a cave, be prepared to fight many wild beasts
A Dark Room Story *IMPORTANT*
-Once you unlock the ability to upgrade the ship, do NOT lift off unless you want to beat the game. Once beating the game, the game will completely reset
-Once you beat the game, you will unlock special secret sound files by the developers of the game
